2003-2004: Client: Wandsworth Challenge Partnership.
Nature reserve on promontory of land between two tidal creeks at the mouth of the River Wandle. To create intertidal habitat the sheet-piled river walls were cut down and a terrace formed stepping up to a crossing boardwalk. Planting consisted on reeds at lowest point, inundated every high tide, then a range of marginal species up the profile with areas left for natural colonisation. Boardwalk leads out to an 'island' at high water with original mature willows and a public sculpture by Sophie Horton, with views out to the Thames. Received a London in Bloom award 2003.
