1999-2003: JCLA was appointed by the Deptford Discovery Team to envision and carry out series of environmental and access improvements along the river walk between Greenwich and the Dome, working with local industry. Subsequent projects included refurbishment of Enderby’s Wharf, with refurbishment of historic cable-winding gear and interpretation of Alcatel’s contemporary submarine cable repeater units (manufactured on site nextdoor), an adjacent ‘green’ jetty planted with sedum, and an Environment Agency funded tidal reedbed. Later phase for Groundwork South East London featured a new riverside garden for Amylum Ltd.
